On Tuesday 23rd of June, Prof. Dr. Heike Feldhaar from the University of Bayreuth gave an invited talk on "Unifying external and internal immune defences", describing a new concept and approach to studying immune defences in diverse ecological contexts.

The event was a great success, with loads of opportunities for PhD students and other scientists to renew and establish collaborations, discuss and revise new project ideas and get, once again, valuable first-hand advice on private and professional challenges accompanying scientific life.
