Within an excursion organized by the RIGeL Excursions & Trips team approximately 50 RIGeL students visited the analytica in Munich on Friday the 4th of April. Analytica is the leading trade fair in laboratory technology, analysis and biotechnology. Its main exhibition sectors are the fields of analysis and quality control, biotechnology/life sciences/diagnostics and laboratory technology. Every second year it is taking place in Munich and presents the newest and most innovative products in these fields. This year 1,142 companies from 40 different nations were present. Also our group members had the opportunity to have a look on the newest products and innovations, to collect information for the everyday lab-work and as a sideline to get some credit points for the "Leistungsheft".

Since it was also career day some were prepared extremely well to make lasting positive impression on the possible future employers while they were introducing themselves in a relaxed atmosphere.

After approximately six hours everybody had the bags filled with advertising gifts and informational flyers and some maybe also with a perspective on a future job. Thus we left Munich in jovial mood.

To sum up the trip was a full success and we feel confirmed to organize future trips. We are already planning the next excursions, but are always open-minded for your ideas.
